LGSF Lightweight Flooring selected for ARCO Distribution Centre:

 In order to create additional space following relocation, ARCO turned to the project team to provide a lightweight mezzanine floor offering a 5kN/m2 loading capacity together with additional welfare facilities within a short project timeframe, for their flagship distribution centre at Blaydon. In turn, the project team commissioned Light Gauge Steel Framing (Sherburn) to supply and install the new mezzanine by providing a total solution of pre-assembled 150mm deep floor frames supported on hot-rolled structural posts, plus canteen, office and toilet facilities created using studded load-bearing wall panels assembled using 100mm and 75mm channel sections. All lightweight framing was detailed on Vertex BD software and manufactured on Howick roll-forming machines.
