We are in growth mode, and we are seeking a CNC Setter and Programmer to join us on our journey, to contribute to the continued success of the company.

About the role

At Howick, we take pride that our machines are proudly 100% NZ and Howick made. The major componentry in our roll-forming systems are CNC manufactured in-house.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Setter Operator to program, set and machine a large variety of mainly steel components in small quantities in our modern CNC shop and manufacturing facility.

• You will work in an environment and be exposed to all aspects of general engineering practices in the manufacture,
• assembly and testing of high-tech, high-value machinery (worth between $250,000 to $1million and more)
• You will get to manufacture a large variety of components in varied quantities
• If you have the right qualities and background, we will provide the training
• This is a full-time position with regular hours (Mon to Fri)

Skills and experience

• Minimum 5 years experience
• Familiar with Fanuc / Haas controllers
• Able to program, set and operate CNC Mills including 4 Axis work
• Familiar with large billet work as well as small components
• Knowledge of CAM programming and advantage
• You should have a keen eye for detail and take pride in everything you do
