About the role

Reporting to the Senior Controls Engineer this role will include testing, design and integration of industrial machine solutions with reference to standards.

It will also include the installation and commissioning of the systems which may involve occasional short term domestic and international travel.

The role requires someone to have deep analytics skills and openness to learn new technologies and systems.

What you will be doing

  • The undertaking of engineering (electrical focus) R&D and design work
  • Debugging and fault finding
  • Upgrading old hardware on customer machines globally (Ideally done via instructions)
  • Testing of system in hardware production environment
  • Installation and commissioning of control panels
  • Provide technical supports to customers (Occasional Afterhours support)
  • Documentation of activities and findings
  • Knowledge creation via tech notes, FAQ articles, How to Videos etc
  • Quality control and FATs

Your qualifications, abilities, and experience:

  • Preferably degree qualified
  • Understanding of Low Voltage Circuits and Variable Speed Drives
  • Minimum of three years' experience as an Electrical Engineer in Industrial Automation
  • Programming experience preferred (PLC,C++, Python, Lua, etc.)
  • experience with electrical CAD software such as EPLAN
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and work well in a team
  • Good Communication skills
  • Learning Orientation
  • Experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
