It is in this growth mode that we are seeking a Marketing Specialist to join us on our journey, to contribute to the continued success of the company. This is a great opportunity to play a significant part in the company’s growth trajectory through well-defined marketing strategies.

Our growth is due in no small part to the concerted marketing strategy based on B2B content marketing, industry education, thought leadership and live tradeshows and events. You will find our presence across most social media platforms – LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube.

About the role

Based at our Howick, Auckland office, this role suits an all-rounder marketer, with particular strengths in digital marketing and copy writing. You will be working across all marketing aspects. You thrive in a busy, ever-changing environment. Given almost 90% of our revenue are from exports, you will have the opportunity to market globally across various time zones, and to learn the export markets.

Sure, there are BAU marketing activities to do, but ours is an evolving industry, so the ability to flex and bend, and thrive on change is important. 

Your marketing remit will span over Howick, its NZ companies and various product brands. The range of responsibilities and activities you will be involved in are:

  • Digital marketing – marketing automation, email campaigns, social media, advertising campaigns
  • Ownership of digital channels
  • Content research, curating and development
  • Basic copy writing for digital campaigns
  • Development of project showcases and related articles
  • Communications internally and with global sales teams
  • Sales and marketing collateral development
  • Brand asset management and administration
  • Organising of events and tradeshows
  • Website management and improvement

About you

  • You are an experienced Marketing Specialist with 3 to 4 years of work experience as a marketing generalist and lots of experience in digital marketing.
  • We highly regard qualities such as fast learning, willingness to get stuck in and taking initiative, commitment, ability to think outside the box, having a natural curiosity of not just the job, but the company and the industry in which we operate.
  • You will report directly to the Head of Global Marketing & Export.
  • You are enthusiastic and willing to learn the complexity of the global construction industry and the space we occupy, the company products, and how the relationships work within the industry and companies.
  • You have, or are keen to develop, an affinity to manufacturing and construction technology.
  • You thrive on the challenge of how no two days are the same, and on juggling a multitude of work in progress.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to do basic copywriting for digital campaigns.
  • You can work autonomously and have a high level of relationship building and getting things done with the help of others.
  • Communication across all levels is also your strong suit.
  • You have a keen eye for detail and the ability to make sense of technical and industry information.
  • Needless to say, you are savvy with managing marketing projects, and in using all the necessary tools to assist you.
