Framing Automation & Industrialised Construction - LIVE at AU 2018, Las Vegas

That’s right! Instead of just talking about it, we are demonstrating live how design software and roll-forming technology is revolutionizing the construction industry. Howick, together with partners, StrucSoft & KHS&S, will be manufacturing light gauge steel profiles and building a whole community clinic at the show, demonstrating the workflow from software (StrucSoft MWF) to framing production (Howick). This is framing automation in action!

Come and see why construction is taking cues from manufacturing by adopting technology to enable precision and automation, mitigating issues with on-site measurements, cuts, drilling, etc., and wider issues of traditional construction in cost and time efficiency, and skilled labour shortage.

As the “cherry on top”, the very clinic built at the show, the concept of which was designed by Virginia Tech students, will be donated to Uganda. Sponsored by the Autodesk Foundation, these clinics will be replicated in similar African regions, where more than 1,000 clinics are needed.
