A United States company - with a commitment to providing custom light-gauge steel framing and a reputation for high quality craftsmanship - is full of praise for a “Howick workhorse”. The Construction Service Group has embraced the capabilities of the Howick FRAMA™ 5600 used recently in the construction of apartments, and on large retail projects.

US COMPANY SAYS HOWICK MACHINE IS THE “WAY TO GO”

With a formidable “Howick workhorse” on its side, US-based Construction Services Group (CSG) is offering a steel framing solution it describes as ideal for any construction market.

Howick’s FRAMA™ 5600 is a key player in large-scale projects undertaken recently by CSG, and the company’s Operations & Technology Director, Ricardo Jigmond, is praising what he calls “superior engineering”.

The FRAMA™ 5600 is a frame and truss component manufacturing system that produces heavier and wider sectioned frames. CSG is able to offer custom-cut steel to suit their clients’ specific plans and exact measurements, with the steel arriving on job sites as pre-assembled panels ready for assembly. Framing up is fast and efficient. The complete steel structure is designed using 3-D software before fabrication begins.

With such modern building methods and capabilities at hand, the days are busy at CSG. Smart and efficient technology is what is required, and what Howick has provided, Ricardo praises.

“We ran over 1.3 million pounds of steel (five months’ run time) through the FRAMA 5600 without major downtime.

“That is what you call reliability through superior engineering. Way to go Howick. Thank you.”

Howick’s focus on precision manufacturing and innovation in light gauge steel (also known as cold-formed steel) sits well with CSG. These Howick customers are firm believers in the numerous advantages of steel on residential, industrial, institutional and commercial sites. They recognise its construction speed, strength, versatility and operational efficiencies.

MULTIPLE PROJECTS IN USA

Recent projects include the construction of university student apartment dormitories in Louisiana and retail building projects in Tennessee and Louisiana. The five-story student apartment complex spans 125,000 square feet; the retail building projects include one at 16,000 square feet, and three at approximately 8,000 square feet each.

That’s a lot of steel! CSG is pleased to have the reliability of the FRAMA 5600 technology to deliver on these projects. Such success stories help cement the company's reputation as the provider of acclaimed modern building methods.
