Howick: Shaping the world of construction

Framing up for a productive 2022

It has been a busy start to the year, so in this first issue of In the Frame for 2022 we provide an update on the events we are attending in the UK, plus news of an enforced change to our IBS2022 plans. We also take a fresh look at an old concept that is being reframed for the modern era – Value Engineering. Finally, we have some good news for students of modern methods of construction in the UK.

Events update

International Builders' Show, Orlando, Florida

February 8-10, 2022

Regretfully we have had to withdraw from this year’s IBS2022 (International Builders' Show) in the US. Our partners for the event, StrucSoft Solutions, are unable to travel due to Covid enforced travel restrictions in Canada where they are based, which has forced our exit. If you were planning to join us there please do contact us. If you accessed a free pass, rest assured this remains valid for use.

We do however have confirmed attendance coming up at Focus on Framing and The Offsite Show in the UK.

Focus on Framing

Tuesday, 29 March 2022 – Birmingham, UK

Bringing together light steel frame manufacturers and industry professionals, this UK event at Birmingham’s NCC highlights the use of steel framing solutions in construction and will feature informative case studies on buildings that are gaining global attention.

Howick is pleased to be the Headline Exhibitor at the event, which is sponsored and hosted by the Light Steel Frame Association (LSFA). We’d love to see you there. You can book your tickets to the event here

The Offsite Show

3-5 May 2022 – London, UK

This promises to be the largest offsite construction event in the UK in 2022. Taking place at London’s ExCel events centre, it brings together people interested in using offsite solutions and techniques.

It is co-located with UK Construction Week and the Grand Designs Live, so there is plenty to see, do and learn.

Access your free pass and join us for what promises to be a hugely insightful event.
